And then there were none // TV Show adaptation

This post is also available in: frFrançais

I remember reading this Agatha Christie’ book several years ago, I loved it at the time. So of course when I saw that it had been adapted in series, I jumped on it.

Ten strangers are invited to an island by a mysterious host, and start to get killed one by one. Could one of them be the killer?

My review

I love this series! Reading the novel did not spoil me, it’s been so long since I could remember the name of the murderer!

Without knowing the country of production of this mini-series of 3 episodes, it is not hard to guess from the first minutes, that our British friends are behind this adaptation. The atmosphere is laid very quickly, the photography is sublime, and the casting is more than royal.

Actors that you have seen in Game of Thrones, Peaky Blinders & Jurassic Park, Poldark & The Hobbit, or Torchwood, … In short, the acting is awesome!

And then there were none is a mini-series of 3 hours, which is included in the category Drama/thriller.

The characters are all summoned for various reasons on an island, by a mystery character. Initially, we note that 10 statuettes are placed on the dining room table, but after the first death a statuette will mysteriously disappear, there are only 9 now. The murders will then chained, and the statuettes will disappear as well. Alliances will form, accusations will be launched, the atmosphere quickly becomes heavy and frightening.

Is the owner of the mansion the killer? or is the murderer hiding behind one of the ten guests?

In short, And then there were none, is a mini-series that I recommend, whether for its atmosphere, for its story or for its cast, it is really worth the detour!
